One of the great benefits of being a photographer is that I don't have a set schedule and often get to stay at home with my daughter, Olivia. I think it goes without saying that she is one of my favorite subjects and the girl has grown up with a camera in her face from the day she was born. The first week she was born I took over 1700 pictures of her and to this day there is no sign of letting up.
There have been many, many amazing moments with Olivia since she's been born but my absolute favorite thing to do is to take a walk with her around the block. A simple as it is, nothing means more to me. She holds my finger, chatters non-stop and is wide eyed about everything she sees. And she inspired me to look around with her wonder. Now I take along my camera, with a 50mm lens and I shoot her and our surroundings. It's a great exercise for me, you can't over think things when you have a toddler bolting to and fro in Brooklyn.
In the end, I plan on making Olivia a book titled, "Walks with Olivia"as a keepsake. In the meantime, please feel free to take a peek into our neighborhood and our walks.
